What aircraft models are included with the Simbird 1000C?

The Simbird 1000C utilizes the XPLANE Cessna 172 aircraft module. The 172 has been evaluated and approved by the FAA. We are working with the FAA to add the Cessna 182 and 206 models in the near future. The Simbird includes a prop control, rudder trim, and cowl flaps control to allow for the later addition of the 182/206 – once approved by the FAA.

Why Purchase a Simbird BATD?

The Simbird 1000C BATD provides an effective training environment for both student and licensed pilots. This includes the practice of scenario based flight training events, instrument procedures, equipment failure and emergency procedures.

STUDENTS: IMPROVE YOUR FLIGHT TRAINING CAPABILITIES!

Students can learn and practice advanced instrumentation and avionics on a BATD cockpit modeled on the Cessna: the most popular and successful trainer of all time. Students can learn faster, retain skills longer and become better pilots.

FLIGHT SCHOOLS: DECREASE YOUR TRAINING COSTS

Quickly realize direct savings by using the Simbird BATD in lieu of using actual aircraft. Results in reduced fuel usage, reducing unscheduled maintenance costs and extending hour-based inspection intervals. Aircraft “wear and tear” reduced by teaching correct aircraft procedures and techniques to students.

FLIGHT SCHOOLS & INSTRUCTORS: INCREASE REVENUE

Operating a Simbird 1000C BATD provides the owner the opportunity to generate revenue every day of the week regardless of weather conditions. No longer be grounded due to weather! Offer your students significant savings on flight training while reducing wear and tear on your aircraft fleet.

Is the Simbird 530 FAA approved

The Simbird 530 is an excellent choice for both beginning student and professionals alike. The 530 can be configured to fly a wide range of single, multi-engine and even jet aircraft. Due to the “non-specific” aircraft model nature of the 530 – the device can not be used to log flying time per FAA requirements. 530 is not an approved Basic Aviation Training Device (BATD). The 530 is still a great way to learn the fundamentals of flying, acquire new skills, or brush up on your flying technique. It’s just plain fun to fly.
